With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Christel Willett leads the marketing team at Harcourts South Africa, expertly managing the flow of all marketing tasks to ensure efficiency and excellence. As the foremost guardian and architect of Harcourts South Africa’s visual identity, she plays a pivotal role in maintaining brand consistency across the country. Christel liaises closely with all offices as well as Harcourts International to establish and uphold brand specifications, ensuring that Harcourts' marketing efforts are consistently implemented nationwide through a variety of media platforms.
Christel's commitment to delivering a first-rate marketing service aligns with Harcourts’ values and long-term objectives. In addition to overseeing traditional marketing efforts, she plays a key role in digital marketing and website management, ensuring that the brand's online presence reflects its identity and vision. Christel also oversees public relations and communications, including social media, working closely with the Head of The Harcourts Way. Additionally, she manages the company’s culture programme, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that aligns with Harcourts' core values.
Christel's journey with Harcourts began when she joined the company under its former name, Homenet. In 2006, she left to advance her marketing career at Nature’s Choice Products, a well-known FMCG company, where she played an integral role in both above and below-the-line marketing and quality control. However, her passion for the Harcourts brand drew her back in 2007 when she was headhunted to rejoin the team.
Upon her return, Christel played a significant role in the rebranding of Homenet to Harcourts in 2009, overseeing the extensive re-brand project and managing the production of all associated branding elements. Her outstanding contribution to this massive undertaking earned her the 'Employee of the Year' award. Several years later, when Harcourts underwent another brand refresh, Christel once again led the way, earning her the 'Team Member of the Year' award in 2016 for her exceptional work.
Christel is deeply passionate about marketing and continuously contributes to the ever-growing success of Harcourts by incorporating and executing all marketing strategies with passion, integrity, and creativity. Her dedication to upholding the Harcourts brand and delivering high-quality marketing solutions has made her an invaluable asset to the team.
