I would like to thank Jeanette for kicking off the process with a bang. My wife and I have been looking at houses for more than a year, so we’ve met almost every estate agent in Krugersdorp. We not only liked the house instantly we also felt very comfortable with Jeanette. It did not take long after we saw the house that we decided to make an offer. We consulted Jeanette and even though our offer was slightly lower than the “bottom-line” she still did not hesitate to take the offer to the seller. She not only gave the seller my offer but sold it to them as they accepted it without a tug of war. (I may have offered too much) After this, something happened and Jeanette disappeared from the scene and in came Kyron. At first I was quite irritated and thought Jeanette may have just closed the deal and moved on to the next sale and stuck me with the trainee. I am very happy to say that this was not the case. Kyron conducted himself very professionally and did not shy away from the challenge. He kept me informed of the process and regularly followed up with us to make sure we did not have any questions left unanswered. He further impressed me with how pro-actively he treated every request we had. If he did not know how, why or when he would not try to hide it, but rather make sure about whatever he was unsure of and then report back. (This is a stunning trait) After a little while Jeanette returned to the scene, but not once did she try to overcompensate or take back over from Kyron. These two work together perfectly and there is not a whole lot left to teach them and they absolutely carried the Harcourts name very high.

Back in 2013, due to a most unfortunate set of circumstances, I was forced to sell my house in Kenmare Extension 4 . The house was not in great shape and in need of attention but it had to go and fast. It just so happened that Harcourts had sold another house in the street and the board was still up. I took a photo on the way home in the evening and phoned the Harcourts agent, which happened to be Ann O'Gorman. Ann Promptly made and appointment and came to see me. She arrived precisely on time and had a look while I told my tale of woe. It was my opinion that I would not get a lot for the house and panicked about settling the bond. Ann reassured me that she would help us get a good price for the house and proceeded to take charge of the situation. Six weeks later my house was sold at the price Ann predicted and I managed to normalize my financial position. The professionalism, care and and assertiveness Ann displayed was quite literally, astounding and I've never experienced that level of commitment from any provider before then. Now, six years later and a very different set of circumstances and it happened again! Three weeks before we emigrate, my elderly mother in law tasked us with selling a property for her before we leave as she did not feel up to it and needed to get rid of it. It was a natural choice for me to get Harcourts to assist and I got hold of Jeanette Korting. Jeanette responded promptly and set up an appointment. After assessing the property Jeanette requested that I sign a mandate with Harcourts. I have had some horrible experiences with mandates and was very reluctant to comply, but Jeanette explained that they will invest money into the selling of the property ant would like to have some commitment from me so that the may get return on that investment. Because of Ann's brilliant service in the past I agreed to 30 day. What happened next made my head spin Jeanette set the wheels in motion and rallied the troops The next afternoon, professional photo's were taken and by the morning after we had live ads on the internet and a walk through by other Harcourts agents arranged. Long story short, four days later we had two solid, signed, offers on the table. By the time we boarded our flight, the conveyance attorneys were well on their way with proceedings and we could breathe.It is almost impossible for to express in mere words my gratitude towards the Harcourts West Rand team, especially Anne, Jeanette and Shaun, but also every last member of a superb team. Should any person be serious about selling his home and have remotely realistic expectations, they would do exceedingly well to sign a mandate with Harcourts West Rand, providing they have somewhere to go as they wont wait long.
