Pieter graduated from the (then) University of the Orange Free State in 1979 with an Hon. B.Admin degree (Industrial Psychology). He started his working career as an Internal Auditor with ARMSCOR before transferring to the HR Management field.
Pieter worked for Volkskas and ABSA Bank as training manager for the IT department. In 1992 he voluntarily took a retrenchment package to further his career in the IT field.
After completing his computer programming course, he worked first as a programmer and later as a computer systems implementer. Pieter also obtained a Masters Degree in Computer Science from the University of Pretoria in 2001.
In the last 10 years of his career, Pieter worked as a contractor, Project Manager, for different entities. He also worked for 12 months at the Keller Williams Real Estate Agency as an Real Estate agent.
Pieter retired from formal employment at the end of 2016 to pursue his own business interests. He started and was CEO and Technical Director of a software company.
Pieter sold his business interests at the start of 2021 and joined Harcourts Titans agency in April 2021.
