Sedgefield

The picturesque "slow town" seaside village of Sedgefield is located on the Garden Route.  Entirely surrounded by lakes, lagoon and mountains it lies in the heart of South Africa's Lake District, with the added natural beauty of fynbos and indigenous trees. There is only 1 primary school in Sedgefield, with High school options in Knysna & George offering a daily bus service.

Sedgefield offers a variety of medical doctors, Dentists, Vet's, physio's, etc.  Within a 45 km radius are 4 Hospital and numerous clinics.

Groenvlei lies to the east of Sedgefield, a freshwater lake famous for bass fishing. Take a drive-up Cloud Nine to experience the awe-inspiring view of Sedgefield in its full splendour or for the more adventurous, take a flight up to the paragliding jump off point to enjoy 360-degree views. This viewpoint is also fabulous for sundowners while enjoying beautiful sunsets behind the Outeniqua mountains.
