Developed farm in sub-tropical Levubu valley, Limpopo.

Serious agriculturists, presenting an opportunity:
Explore a farm that has successfully evolved from generational ownership and still retains potential for further expansion.
It lies on the border of the rich Levhubu farming area. Levhubu the birthplace of South Africa's lucrative Macadamia industry, which has now achieved world status.
If parallels can be drawn, this farm has been wrestled from the indigenous bush by visionary agricultural pioneers diversified and handed to the next generation, emulating the growth of the Macadamia industry. This farm should be of special interest to developers and investors in the aggro-processing and agricultural industries. The owner is willing to remain in an advisory roll ensuring a smooth transition, if the farm is taken over. Attesting to their commitment, this particular sacrifice in itself speaks to their integrity and love of farming.

The farm is 447 hectare in extent. With an electrified (12km) perimeter fence, that is zoned and individually supplied by 4 energizers, thus simplifying inspection and maintenance.
A main gate and guard room controls the entry and exit point. Its importance is justified when the traders start to queue in the early hours of the morning for oranges.
There are 4 homesteads on this farm and a two bedroom cottage.
Three houses are rented, generating an income. In the past a cattle stud was part of the farming enterprise and these cattle facilities still exist.
There are stalls, a shed and huge cold room that were used for the feed and fodder. These have now been put to use for this generations Arab stud.
The farm concentrates on two crops, Macadamia nuts and Oranges. The hectares planted to Macadamias is 54 and Oranges 77. The Macadamia crop is projected to yield 1,9 to 2 ton per hectare this season and the Oranges 48 to 55 ton per hectare. There is a 12 hectare area cleared and prepped for planting. The remainder of the farm has 220 hectare available for future orchards and 80 hectare is considered suitable for grazing.
Water supply is generous and diversified being, the Levhubu river and 7 boreholes. Irrigation water is pumped
into a cement reservoir and earth (sealed) dam located centrally on a high feature.. Water registration has been applied for, being: Water use 1. Boreholes : 183 050 cubic meter per year and 2. River: Also 183 050 cubic meter per year.Additionally, 3. Is the river: 836 800 cubic meter per year, too.
Infrastructure is vast on this property and in good condition. The oranges are delivered to a Pack house on site(1300 sq m), equipped with washers, driers, sorting
belts, sizers and color sorters. Packed product is stored in cold rooms and a lucrative 'bakkie' trade has been established for the lower graded oranges.
This trade has customers as far afield as Mozambique and neighboring countries. Lemons are toll packed for neighboring farms allowing economies of scale for the packhouse.
The Citrus pack house conforms to all the criteria for export with certification, inspections and record keeping up to date.
A newer Kumquat pack house(412 sq m) is no longer operational although the processing equipment is still on site. This is now used for packaging and raw materials.
The Macadamia facility (180 sq m)has a 4 lane de-husker, soon to be replaced by a 6 lane refurbished model. Bin driers and conveyors are new and this facility has been
structured for future expansion. The owners achieved the lowest unsound kernel at the Process factory they deliver to in 2022. The Macadamia crop is certified and they are registered with SAMAC, pest control and fertilizer records are maintained in line with the Processing plant regulations.(GAP)
The farm has all the necessary equipment for the daily needs of the business. The asset list is vast but includes some of the following: 12 tractors, 5 spray carts/mist blowers, 2 forklifts, 3 bakkies and a truck, 5 generators and more! Conservative estimates of the mechanical moveable assets is R. 20 million and does not include the pack house equipment and nut store
facilities. The farm lends itself to various business models and the owners are keen to explore any suggestions and offers by serious buyers.
Only serious buyers can afford and appreciate what has been achieved here!
